Concept:
After having to close their offices during the global pandemic, The Integer Group wanted to commemorate the incredible strength, resilience, and growth that took place during that time. And as The Growth Company, they also wanted to inspire their employees to continue to push themselves to grow. So, we created an Integer holiday centered around growth, called Growth Day.
The Announcement Video
To announce Growth Day, we created this short video to get Integer employees excited about Friday, the 13th.
The Announcement Email
Yesterday, March 13th, was a big anniversary for Integer. Two years ago today, we closed our offices due to the growing pandemic. It was a Friday the 13th. A spooky day, during uncertain times. It was a rare moment in life where suddenly we all knew things would never be the same.
So what did we do? We grew. We got uncomfortable. We reinvented our workflows and our work/life balance. We got on Teams. Started making sourdough bread. We adopted pandemic puppies. Slowly, we found ways to let go of the past so we could build a new future for Integer, and ourselves.
So when you think about it, that Friday the 13th wasn’t such an unlucky day. It was a day of growth. A day to remember, to celebrate even. And so from now on we will.
INTRODUCING:
GROWTH DAY
Going forward, we’re celebrating every Friday the 13th as a GROWTH DAY. A holiday where we embrace the fear of the unknown and celebrate our growth and growing pains alike. We’ll make the most unluckiest of days our day. And just like we did in the pandemic, we’ll crush it.
Effective immediatley, every Friday the 13th will be a half day. A day where we close our doors at the 13th hour (aka: 1pm) so you can go out and do somethign that scares you a little. Skydive. Hop on a bus and see where it takes you. Get a tattoo. Give your butterflies a workout. Push yourself and GROW. And have fun doing it.
And as for the other half of the day? Details to come :)
Until then, thanks for embracing the unknown.
